Private Voice Instruction

$80 per hour
$45 per 1/2 hour
Lisa Matsko Hamilton, Instructor

Study privately with one of the premiere South Bay voice instructors. Music theatre, pop, and classical styles. Lisa guides you as you develop a well-rounded repertoire of standard and contemporary material. Song selections are available from our extensive music library. Warm-ups and accompaniments are recorded onto CD or emailed via MP3. Current students are performing on Broadway and regionally in shows such as Godspell, Book of Mormon, Hairspray, Everyday Rapture, Mary Poppins, 13, Grease, Big River, Little Women, Ragtime, 42nd Street, Rent, and Phantom of the Opera. Other students have attended prestigious performing arts programs at schools such as University of Michigan, UCLA, Boston Conservatory, University of Arizona, NYU, Juilliard, AMDA, USC, Point Park College, Emerson College, UCI, Yale and Northwestern. Lisa Hamilton received her MFA in Music Theatre at University of California, Irvine, and has also studied at the University of Redlands and Syracuse University.

MUSIC THEATRE AUDITION WORKSHOP

GERARD BABB & LISA MATSKO HAMILTON, Instructors

Offering you the keys to a successful music theatre audition! This course is a great introduction for newcomers to music theatre and an excellent way for experienced professionals to return to the basics and re-examine their auditioning skills, while adding to their audition repertoire. Headed to a college conservatory? Use this class to prepare your audition material. Class will culminate in a simulated in-house audition before a panel of industry professionals. Participants will receive an invaluable critique from each panel member and a copy of the DVD of the entire audition process.

Scholarship Auditions

The Professional Arts Education Center offers scholarships in music theatre, dance, voice and acting. Scholarship awards are based on desire, potential, talent, and financial need, and are available to students ages 10 and up. Recipients will be evaluated by industry professionals at an audition to be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Professional School for the Arts. Scholarships are made possible by the Professional Arts Education Center, the Karen Morow Stars of To-Morrow Scholarship Fund and the Patty Murphy Music Theatre Scholarship Fund. Applications are available in advance of the audition at PSA.

PRIVATE ACTING INSTRUCTION with GERARD BABB
